Five rooms run the same bridal shower and hens package: three courses with two hours of bottomless drinks, $105 a head. Akti, Ventuno, Summer Salt and Ripples Chowder Bay all take it, and so does Ripples Little Manly, where the pour is sparkling, mimosas and rosé, with Aperol Spritz for another $25.

The Langham does it differently — traditional afternoon tea at $95 a head, $108 with a glass of Australian sparkling, or $128 with Taittinger Brut Réserve NV.
